Membership/partnership
In 2020, Jiří Janoušek has become an ambassador of Artificial Intelligence Center Hamburg (ARIC), a Hamburg-based non-profit which deals with artificial intelligence. Prague and The Czech Republic have thereby joined Hamburg and Estonia in building an international network of AI-hotspots.
The goal of ARIC is to connect professionals in the corporate, academic and other societal spheres, in order to promote the development of practical AI-based solutions. More information can be found here.
Our firm works closely with the latest developments in AI and actively implements the latest research findings into law firm practice. We also advise our clients on the implementation of AI systems in their corporate environment, their regulation in relation to AI Act, the interpretation of AI Act and the correct set-up of corporate legal regulations.
Since 2020, our firm has been a member of the Czech-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DTIHK), during regular meetings of which we come into contact with leading Czech and German companies.

JUDr. JIŘÍ JANOUŠEK
ATTORNEY-AT-LAW
Jiří is the founder of AK Janoušek. He has worked in the advocacy since 2009. Jiří specializes in providing legal services in German to German-speaking clients.
Jiří’s knowledge of the German language, nearly at the level of a native speaker, provides clients with an exceptional and above-standard service in the comfort of their native language.
Jiří focuses on civil and commercial disputes and arbitration proceedings (including disputes with an international element). Jiří’s specialisation also includes legal advice in inheritance law with an international element and in the area of homowner associations and housing cooperatives.
He provides his legal services in German, Czech and English.
Jiří is a graduate of the Austrian School in Prague. In 2002, Jiří graduated from the Faculty of Law at Charles University in Prague.
He started his legal career in the banking sector. From 2003 to 2007, he worked for Československá obchodní banka a.s. as a specialist in judicial and foreign arbitration proceedings and in bankruptcy law. From 2007 to 2008, he worked in the legal department of Českomoravská stavební spořitelna a.s., where he focused on sales support, commercial representations and related court proceedings.
In 2009, he was hired as a junior attorney by JUDr. Alena Němcová, Ph.D. and subsequently worked in the law firm of Janstová, Smetana & Nevečeřal, first as a junior attorney and later, from 2012, after passing bar exams with excellent grades, as a licensed attorney. From 2014 to 2019, he worked together with the attorney JUDr. Alena Němcová, Ph.D. Since 2019 he has provided independent legal services together with his team at AK Janoušek.
Jiří is keenly interested in the ways AI can be utilized in legal practice. He regularly participates in interdisciplinary dialogues, conferences, educational events, and workshops not only in the Czech Republic but also abroad.
His main interest lies in uncovering the ethical and moral aspects associated with the implementation of AI systems in the legal field. Jiří has summarized his reflections in a chapter of the publication “Wie Künstliche Intelligenz unser Leben prägt“ (How Artificial Intelligence Shapes Our Lives) and in his contribution “Golem im Handy – Kann KI menschlich urteilen?“ (Golem in the Phone – Can AI Judge Humanely?), which he successfully presented at the solutions:2023 conference in Hamburg.
